I must confess, I didn’t get any writing done over the holidays. I spent most of my time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. Mince pies, sausage rolls, cookies, all the necessities of Christmas. I love making good things for my family to enjoy and experimenting with new recipes. In my next post I’ll share the new recipe I created which has become a new favorite for my husband. We were once again blessed to have the family together for Christmas. It warms my heart, spending time with loved ones and friends. Making new memories and sharing memories of years gone by.
The New Year has arrived, and it’s time to get back to work. I enjoy escaping into the world of story crafting. My love of baking compliments my writing as I often have story ideas while baking. As I knead bread dough or rollW out pastry, with no distractions, only my thoughts to keep me company, my mind wanders and my characters talk to me.
I struggle with marketing. I mean really, really, struggle. Can you relate? New Year’s morning I opened my Amazon author page to find an uplifting review on my latest book, The Revelation. What a wonderful way to begin the year. I love hearing how someone enjoyed my stories. The best compliment you can pay an author is to leave a review after reading their book. My goal for the New Year is to learn more about marketing. I welcome any tips offered. Here’s to a wonderful New Year for all. Time to get to work.
