Opinions, do they separate us or join us? It really depends on how you voice your opinion and how you react to other’s opinions. We all have different views on life, what we like what we don’t like. Our upbringing, our culture, age, status in life, everything about us is what makes our opinions our own. A young persons opinion on a popular new song is going to be far different than an older persons. Does that make either of them wrong? Of course not, we are all individuals and trying to make everyone like or dislike the same thing is ridiculous and destructive. As we have all been told, money is the root of all evil, well opinions are the root of all division. If we could all just remember our opinions matter but not to everyone. I love chocolate ice cream but my husband prefers strawberry. Should we argue about that? That would be ridiculous wouldn’t it? I understand he is not going to like every thing I like and he understands the same about me. If we could all step back a minute and appreciate our differences perhaps we could get along. I may not agree with someone’s lifestyle or political views but that should not make me dislike them nor should they dislike me because I differ. Accept and embrace our differences and focus on the similarities. We all want a better more peaceful world, we all want a better life for our children. I can not make you think the way I think because our life experiences have been different. Let’s all put our differences away and concentrate on what we agree on. No government or group can fix this problem only each and everyone of us doing our best to just get along. Just my thoughts for today and remember this is my opinion. Have a great day!
