I’m always in pursuit of tools that help improve my writing. I discovered a goldmine in Books Go Social. If you haven’t heard of Books Go Social, you need to check them out. Laurence and his team offer many valuable services to writers of all stages. Their FB page for authors is a great area for writers to connect and support one another. Not a snarky site, I’ve only seen positive responses to questions asked.
I was steered to one of their services after viewing a marketing webinar regarding the benefit of badges and awards for your books.
One of the many services they offer is their Quality Mark. This service uses both a computer and a real person to evaluate your writing. They then provide you with the completed computer assessment and score. The assessment shows areas you might need to consider revamping, overused words, correct tense, show vs. telling and many more. The real person provides comments, both positive and negative, with suggestions to improve your writing. Depending on the score, they will then give you either a bronze, silver or gold quality mark.
The service is much more than getting a seal of quality to put on your book cover. It’s a tool to help in the continuing pursuit of learning and improving.
I would highly recommend using this service to any writer, no matter what stage you’re in. Use the report to make it shine. Failure only comes when we stop improving. Keep writing, learning, growing.
